It never crossed my mind to measure them vc. I came close though with a humongous worm last Saturday. I was hoeing and it shot skyward out of the ground and made me jump. Didnae know they did that!When weeding, the best way to make sure you are removing a weed and not a valuable plant is to pull on it.
If it comes out of the ground easily, it is a valuable plant.Comment

I've seen some pretty big banana slugs in northern California but never had any desire to get close enough to measure them.
