Dwarf french beans

Is it too late to sow dwarf french beans? Have sown all the others and planted most out, such as broadies, sugar snap and early peas.

How long do they normally take to set?

I'll sow them right through until mid July and hope the last lot set before the first frosts.

My last lot disappeared had a root around nothing guess I'm going without planted 2 pumpkins instead

I'm going to be doing the same as my first 2 batches diligently sown indoors were got by the Siberian weather!

And I've not re-sown to replace my manky rotted ones yet, it's on my To Do list, honest... I was still sowing into July last year though, and got quite good crops from them.

bl**dy awful year for beans ....about 90% of mine have either rotted or been eaten by slugs. I am still sowing them for succession (dwarf haricot and climbers)

I haven't sown my French beans before the beginning of June for a few years. They don't like the weather to be too cold or wet. When I used to try earlier they used to really struggle.

i sow my french climbing beans end of march,plant out end of april and if its cold they just sit there,but once they get the suns warmth on them,theyre off.i grow them hard and put 2ft of compo bin contents underneath and then let them get on with it,in the last week they have begun to grow away nicely,and its not that warm yet..

Mine are sat in the Wendy; taking their time growing. Did direct sow some, but they haven't come up at all
