The one fruit in the pictures has grown a bit more the last few days and it is definitely still keeping the ridge at present like bum, so I don't think cherry, but I guess time will tell, I just can't wait that long.
Pardon? I hope you mean plum Mine have only just set, so not really big enough to compare. From memory though, the line on plums is more of a dent than a ridge if you see what I mean.
The plums on my tree are about fingernail sized at the moment, but they don't have a ridge that deep. However, it could be just a genetic mutation - a one off event. I've eaten prunus fruit that has small ridges, then the next will have a deep ridge... But I doubt it's that. I agree with VVG about it being a Gage, as they're like round plums on fat little stalks.
Hmm... although the leaves and trunk of yours doesn't look like a gage..
Just googled gage because I've never heard of em and the images I found are very similar with both flowers and fruit and that could be a top shout, I'm glad because apparently they're delicious
Checked on the one fruit which is still growing but about 30% of the other have either gone yellow and shrivelled or fallen off, is this natural for a fruit tee, Ive never had one before.
