I read an article somewhere last year that suggested you can use leek pips (the little spikey things growing from the leek flower) to make new leeks - can anyone remind me how to do it please? And what time of year you'd do it? I have one small flower which seems to be popping them out at the moment, and I'd love to give it a try . Thx

Thx RL. I must say it looks horribly complicated... I assumed I'd just be able to pull them off and plant them like little seedlings, but it doesn't sound like that at all. I have one small flower that's throwing some up at the moment, thought I might try it with them - no way will they wait until January anyway! Nothing ventured and all that .sigpicGardening in France rocks!
