cauliflowers, can i cut any of the bottoms leaves off
The ones that have gone yellow can be cut or snapped off and put on the compost heap. I would leave all the green ones on though - they feed the plant.
You can, but you need to cover the curd (what we think of as the cauliflower) with leaves to help keep them cool and shaded which keeps them white so don't cut too much off.
