Snakeshack, what do you do with your HHW chillies? Grown them for the first time this year and they're a bit yellow and bland. Do they go red and get hotter or do you use them in some way when they're still yellow? Any advice much appreciated.
      Are y'oroight booy?

            • Picked my first mini cucumber. Thank you Darcy I'm sure you won't mind if I say that it had a difficult start to life, having the top snapped off and leaving just one leaf on the stem. It was such a determined plant that it grew a new stem and just look at it now

              • Maybe not exactly 'picked' my first but last night was the first full meal that we've grown, Spanish tortilla with our own potatoes, onions, broad beans, peas and eggs from the chooks accompanied by a green salad. Fair brought a tear to the eye

                • Had quite a bit of stuff over the last month or so. Strawberries, artichoke, potatoes, overwintered onions, garlic, salad leaves and lettuce, radish, beetroot.
Now keep getting the courgette fairy leaving many fruits, polytunnel toms starting to ripen, picking french and runner beans.
                  Very pleased so far!!!

                  • Pulled up my first elephant garlic today - the first one was the size of an ordinary garlic, so a bit disappointing. The next one was bigger, and the others were humungous!
Gardening is cheaper than therapy and you get tomatoes
