What are the easiest vegetables to grow?

I can't grow kohlrabi. I really don't know what I'm doing wrong but they refuse to grow! However, it appears that I am one of the few people who finds very easy to grow carrots.

So I was wondering which are your easiest vegetables to grow. I know we have people from the UK and other European countries, but I 'd love to heard your answers.

Mines:
- Courgettes (Black Beauty).
- Cardoon.
- Globe artichokes.
- Rhubarb (Glaskin Perpetual).
- Broad beans (Aqua Dulce Claudia).
- Peas (Douce Provence).
- Carrots (Paris Market & Cosmic Purple).
- Strawberry (Mignonette & Alpine).
- Mexican tree.

But on the other hand I found difficult to grow most alliums, chillies, asparagus peas, kohlrabi and turnip.

This is my first year of allotment growing and everything has got round to growing but I did Lose a number of chillies cabbages and leeks

I have finally growing some celery seedlings for me they just did not want to germinate they have now though

I seem to have one veg that will excel each year and the rest will be rubbish. The following year it will be something different.
One memorable year it was red cabbage - they were all perfect and huge and I could swap them with pride for other stuff. Then there was the year of the courgettes, never again have I grown so many....and the runner bean year and the tomato year.. If only I could bring them all together in the same year
This year, fingers crossed, is going to be the kale year

Broad beans. Dead easy - just stick the seeds in the ground and leave them to get on with it. Nevertheless, I no longer grow them, because the value-for-space rating or V.S.R., as Joy Larkcom calls it in 'Grow Your Own Vegetables', i.e. how much edible material you get for a given area of ground, is too low.
Lettuces are also supposed to be dead easy - they're another veg. that are recommended for introducing kids to the joys of veg. growing - but I'm blowed if I can get them to maturity. If I can grow toms, french beans, courgettes, onions and other relatively tricky veg. successfully, why can't I grow lettuces?

Broad beans and rhubarb. Although someone told me they managed to kill rhubarb recently.

After that it takes a bit of effort to deslug things.

Strawberries are effortless if you don't mind birds and slugs eating them all.

Lettuce and peas probably next.

why can't I grow lettuces?

A neighbour was given some lettuce from another neighbour and they've done brilliantly. I have asked what type they are but they don't know.
My lettuce just doesn't come close to these. I reckon it's got to be a must have lettuce to try next year.

Will have to dig out a pic of it and get it ID'd.

Opps, well I have not had a runner bean for 2 years now and I love them As for radish all stalk and no bulb. Do I get a prize for messing up the impossible

Same here, I think they all get together and decide whose turn it is to excel

Hell no I'm talking about my personal experience next year I may find it near on impossible to start things I found easy this year!

I had real problems last year with oriental leaves ended up giving up and they too are are meant to be easy

Beets and chard for me. Never failed for me.

Oh, and globe artichokes. They just take over!

For me it has to be Jerusalem Artichokes. Grew them once, liked the vegetable but not the after effects, spent the next few years trying to get rid of them!
