  • Asparagus peas

I was given some of these seeds but I must admit I had never heard of them. They are however growing beautifully having very pretty flowers and pea pods with fluted edges. My question is, how do you know when they are ready to pick and whats the best way to cook them ?

I am growing these for the first time as well although my plants are still tiny. I understand you have to pick them small, only about 1 inch long. Not sure how to cook them though. Steam or saute lightly I think.

Pick the pods when they are tiny, or they will be stringy. Or they might be stringy anyway. I'm not a fan (can you tell), but the flowers are pretty.

pick them small and steam them , they'll take a bit longer than you think they will but we liked them ...
