Got one in my garden now, testing it out to see how well it works. So far so good. Big tip i found when setting it up not mentioned on their site or video is that it is worth watering each section and leaving a while before you add another. When i watered the tower for the first time the top became compost soup, then as the lower layers got wet they condensed and dropped or left large air gaps. I also adapted the design as i was not happy with it regards the openings. The plants tended to cantilever outwards and pull themselves out. I added some sliced up plastic cups to hold them. Biggest advice would be, use a glue gun!

Yes, I wondered about that, sam, but the guy in the vid used garden soil plus animal manure, which wouldn't drop so much, and would wet easier, but it must be heavier than MPC, and there could be all sorts of weed seeds in there too...Location - Leicestershire - Chisit-land

Quick update on the bottle tower.
Lettuce in it continue to grow, marginally slower than those in the ground.
Have needed to water directly to base of plants as judging volume of water to put in top is a little difficult. A lot of it gets held up in the medium rather than trickling down.
I am finding that my tower is susceptible to pests, finding at least two different eggs on them and my first caterpillar. I suspect this is due to its exposure. Multiple towers may limit this and allow sheet covers to be used (financially non-viable with only one.)
Will keep updating if any significant progress/disaster occurs. Any suggestions or questions welcomed.
