  • Building a raised bed on grass...

    Hi,

I`m thinking of building a raised bed on the right side of my garden the lights much better & all my veg in pots is doing better in that area...... But the area is grass ,i have some wooden boards 20cm high x 2m that I`m thinking of making a raised bed with ....something like this photo ...question is can i put this on top of grass? then fill with soil? i read elsewhere that the grass would grow from the bottom, i have my doubts about this! but I`m thinking of covering the inside of the area of the raised bed with cardboard then filling with soil......

It will if it's couch grass, it won't if it's normal lawn grass.
