How long do they last for SBP. I know that they need to be 3 or 4 years old to Force for an early crop & then they are scrap. Do normal plants have a productive life? If they did you could sow a few every year or two and have a constant supply.
From what I've read they last/crop for 20-odd years.
Been doing more googling, I think we're gonna go for Precoce d'Argenteiul (heritage) & Purple Passion (hybrid (ooh err)) seeds.

I got Jersey Improved from T&M £5 for ten seeds says that you can crop in the second year. I got mine when they were doing order £10 of seeds and get one packet of your choice free, so I had tem free. they have all germinated and are now sprouting and are about 6in tall. I also got 4 two year crowns for 4.99 from the Gnd cntr and they have come through ok as well.
