Rubbish! (or should that be 'Debris!') Get as wide as you can, it's more versatile, as you don't have to worry about anything getting through the holes along the edge, you can just weigh the excess down on the ground, or double it by folding it over. Then, if you decide you need to use it for another job, you haven't got to stitch it all back together again.

The only thing you'll have trouble with, is choosing which colour...

Now that all depends if you are making framed cages or planning on just throwing it over hoops & folding it away for winter.

Yes, heavy on a roll, but I managed to bike it 3miles to the lotty. Then drop it on the ground, unroll a length and cut it off with scissors.
My neighbour then fancied some, so I sold him a length

Not with ordinary thread, which will just snap after a while.
You can get extra-strong sewing thread, or fishing line, or use dental floss (it has all kinds of uses, dental floss )
If you can't fiddle with a normal hand-sewing needle, get a wool/tapestry needle, the thick ones with a large eye

I was a cheapskate and got the 2m, and wish I hadn't. It just isn't quite wide enough to do useful things with, and I'm always having to sew bits together.

          Buy the 3m

            Good thinking BM
Being DIY-challenged, I'm in the chuck it over the top category
Another daft question coming up..........Does anyone convert their netting tunnel/frame into a polytunnel frame over winter - by chucking plastic over the top?

I got a roll of 3m wide debris netting and, helpfully, it's folded in half so the roll itself is only 1.5m long (if that makes sense! ) which makes it much more manageable.

I'd definitely go for the 3m wide option for versatility and I'd recommend calling a couple of scaffold suppliers that are local to you as it may well be cheaper than other places! If you can't find scaffold suppliers just phone the scaffodlers themselves and ask where they get it!

              Fantastic stuff!

I've made up my mind to buy 3m as I'm so cack-handed I need a bit spare to play with

Thanks Vikki. The folded in half bit was something else I wondered about - as in, would it fit in the car!
When I started this thread I imagined a 3m (10' to me) roll of "carpet", that would be stiff and awkward - once again, I'm wrong

I bought mine off ebay, vc - it came folded in half and tied up. Not sure if you've bought yet, but you might find it cheap(er) on there?

Here's a picture of my netting. I actually find the holes handy, they give you somewhere to tie your netting without having to cut it. I've also threaded some bamboo canes through the holes so I can weigh the edges down.
