was down the pub today chatting to the land lord . he was saying he feeds all the slops left overs from peoples pints to his toms said they always come out really sweet , not sure if to believe the drunk or not (saying that iv been told about this before). if so has anyone here tryed/done it and what was the outcome ?

feeding beer to tomatoes

Never heard of it Dave, but it sounds plausible - beer is good organic material. You could run a trial yourself, feeding your (unprocessed) slops to one plant and report back to us. Then we would all know for sure.
From each according to his ability, to each according to his needs.

My Dad tried beer slops on his show leeks....rotted them to the ground!
The old pitmans feed was, after a night out on the drink and because you shouldn't water til the sun goes down, pee in watering can add a bottle of Guinness and top up can with water, then water plants!
