hi all thinking of buying a veg cage for nxt year www.walk-inwonderwall .co.uk look good any one use one or similar i made a small one for this year but like the idea of a perminant cover for veg
It looks like something that could be made from water pipe and debris netting.
I couldn't find any details of how its made or how its erected (except they say how "easy" it is). Would be interested to hear from anyone who has one!
You'd be just as well with one of these for half the price, just leave the doors open.......the only drawback to this one would be watering & of course the excess heat. You could always cover it with debris netting instead of the cover that comes with it.

With regard to snugs it looks like the fabric is buried into the ground, but surely this would extend the erection time as you would have to dig trenches.

I've got a mesh tunnel which looks quite similar to the pictures in the link. Love my tunnel I think they do make a useful micro climate and crops do seem to do well in them. Pests may not be totally eliminated but are very much reduced. I mostly use it for Brassicas, but useful for carrots, peas and the like to keep pests away. Also handy for some seed saving by stopping unwanted cross-pollination from insects eg chillies, tomatoes etc.
I'd also like to know how they keep slugs and snails out!
