Will this tomato plant be ok? (pic)

In the middle of the pic you can see where it's been broken, is that going to stop it growing properly? Looks like it might be an important part of it that broke off

I only started growing tomatoes last year but I will have a go at helping.

It looks like the growing tip has come off but because of the way tomatoes grow, it will grow a 'sideshoot' which will replace that, so I wouldn't worry.

I stand ready to be corrected by more experienced grapes however.

Looks like you lost the growing tip! Don't worry the plant will sprout side shoot from the leaf axils (joint between the leaf and stem)

This is our first year I agree with shirley
some of ours got damaged by a pole we put across the top of the greenhouse
for the hanging basket toms
and they seem to have recoverd
thow I would start some more toms of now if you have the space

Agree with whats been posted. I think you could even pot up the bit that broke off and make another plant?

Just make sure that you only allow one new sideshoot to take over. You'll then get a plant with a bit of a kink in it, but it should do ok.

It's possible to when you remove the sideshoots to pot them up as "cuttings" and get more toms.
