Call them what ever you like Is anyone having a success growing them?
I noticed flowers on mine this week - the teeniest, tiniest flowers you can imagine.
To give you an idea of scale, they are growing up a bamboo cane.
Can't wait to see a fully grown fruit

I know a lot of us bought the seeds - mine are from Realseeds but others bought the James Wong ones - so I'm curious to know how they're doing. Its a race to see who has the first edible one

one of my clients has a hedge, and there are cucamelons growing inbetween .... I worked there 2 weeks ago, and ate a dozen or two .... I must say, they are pretty tasty and worth the effort (if you can get them to grow) .... they will taste good in a greek salad with feta cheese, olives, dried oregano and olive oil ...

same here..more germinated but will probably be too late for this year...
Might try to overwinter the roots..think I read you can do that..

I bought the James Wong ones & had success judging by what you've all said. I've got them dotted about the garden & 1 in the GH. All only just started producing fruits & im hoping they grow bigger & fatter!
I will be saving seed if I get enough as want to pickle them as well.

Hmm, I've had loads germinate, very spindly stalks and stems, loads of spindly climbing shoots going everywhere. Got them intertwining 3 bamboo canes, covered in tiny yellow flowers and have been for weeks, but that is all.

Im new to this gardening lark and cucamelons are my first try at growing anything! All my James Wong seeds germinated but a few died off shortly after. Now i have about 8-10 plants in growbags and pots all starting to flower. Well done me trying to decide what to grow next....

Mine are about the same as yours VC except they refused to grow up anything, canes, netting, a wall. so they are in a big heap.

Mine are scrambling up canes, with a bit of help - but they are in a tangle!! They've reached the top of the GH side and are wondering where to go next

Hi VC Im growing some of my cucumber melon from Italy in a container and they are growing very well and fast. Now they are on flower and I can't wait to eat some Of them. I will post some picture as soon I can

Hi Sarico I'm growing some of your Caroselli too I sowed a couple of seeds of each variety - a few failed - but I have several plants in flower and growing well. Most of them are in the greenhouse but I have some outdoors too. Can't wait to try a fruit Thank you and your Italian Friends again for their kindness.

I'm not growing them this year but have grown them before - they can be a bit aggressive and start pulling down the poles that you put up for them.

I am growing mini white cuke in the greenhouse - I have about 8 plants and am taking them really small and it's taking them early that kick starts the others into growing faster so if you want to give yours a boost, take one or two of the larger small ones and give them a bit of feed straight after.

Just yesterday we were talking about achocha and how none of ours germinated [we sowed a few from home saved seed a while back now] and lo and behold I walk into the greenhouse and there - is an achocha. The same applies, they are a bit of a beast so as soon as I see roots below it will be planted out against a very sturdy structure [aka the walkway next to the hut] so that it can scramble, hang on and not take any other plant out in its bid for world domination.

I have some Achocha on the go as well - 2 are starting to romp over the fallen clematis and 2 are scrambling up a chicken wire fence. I tried them last year but didn't have any fruit. Here's hoping for this year. They're niggling away at my soul because I've never seen an achocha in the flesh
