What have you forgotten.........?

I've just realised that I haven't sown any runner beans!! A few French beans and a couple of dwarf runners out of interest - but no proper runner beans
I also meant to grow sunflowers and forgot
Oh, and to try some grains - like amaranth and quinoa
Please tell me I'm not the only one who's disorganised

I am a scatterbrain too.

Chard, cabbages, melons and various herbs.

I also put off ordering my debris netting and finishing my brassica frame. I have thus, spent the evening crushing eggs and baby caterpillers. My Kale, sprouts and caulis are temporarily covered with an ill fitting piece of fleece held down with stones.

I haven't sown any runners yet but on the packet I have, it says sow May to July so I'm going to bung a few in and hope for the best.

I, too, forgot to sow sunflowers and the usual successional sowing. I guess I got excited when things eventually started to appear that I forgot to sow the next lot

I did manage to grow enough tomatoes though

Thanks Scarey - tomorrow I'm going to pretend its Spring and sow some of the things I've forgotten! Its only a few seeds to gamble and everything to win - well, a couple of beans maybe

I'm pretty disorganised and my OH says I have a butterfly brain... I tend to randomly flit about from one thing to another!

This year I forgot that:

• I was meant to be doing successional sowing
• Making a brassica cage always takes longer than I expect it to
• Birds really do like strawberries as much as I do
• The council take an age to grant permission for structures (specifically a small polytunnel)
• Pretty much everything always takes longer than I expect it to
• That I should be recording where everything is going on the plot so my brain doesn't explode when I try and work out rotation!

We seem to have forgotton to sow any flower seeds at all this year!

...but I'm especially missing the lack of English marigolds and nasturtiums in the borders.

i do this every year. this year i have forgoten/never got round to sowing french beans and lots of herbs.

Put the netting on the fruit cage. Only when the birds starting eating the raspberries last week were we spurred into trying to push the sprawling mess of canes back into the confines of the cage, then somehow get the net over...

I forgot about making a brassica cake so squishing off eggs and caterpillars again! Hopefully this year I will win.
