How big is your pot? One that i grew in a 30 litre barrel didn't do half as well as the same variety planted on top of my compost heap... i won't be planting them in pots again.

My growbag and container based ones didn't fair as well as the ones in the ground either. They need roomy shoes - mine'll all be in the ground next year (courgettes/butternuts and other squashes).
While wearing your night clothes, plant cucumbers on the 1st May before the sun comes up, and they will not be attacked by bugs.

I thought my croping had finished after going on for ages. Plants stopped producing.

They've now got new lease of life and started producing again!

I had one in a small, long thin hanging hessian container about a foot long and the courgette was amazingly large until I tried to move the bag outside and the plant snapped off. Sat it in water for weeks and it sprouted roots. replanted and it's now a tiny plant in a small pot in the greenhouse. Might get courgettes on it in winter if I keep it going.
