      no ripe ones here either yet but I think it's probably a bit early yet considering the weather earlier this year
      don't be afraid to innovate and try new things

        Same here. Healthy toms here and there staying the same size and colour green. They have had plenty of time to ripen with the long period of heat and sun but nowt happening. A lot of plants have only just started flowering so I doubt they will catch up before the summer ends. Mind you, last year I managed to get a ripe tom from a plant in the kitchen as late as december.

          Judging by my Tumblers we are going to have a sudden glut. I have been picking some for a couple of weeks but now there are dozens starting to turn.

            I had two that turned red apart from a yellow top , after a goggle this is because temps have been too high ....now it's cooled down a bit I've noticed a lot on the turn........patience is needed

              Aren't all the varieties different! I suppose it's what we garden for. My gardener's delight, sun cherry, sungold, Hartzfeur (whatever) and Marmande have started to ripen and produce but Roma is a long way off anything red. Anyone else had a red Roma recently (clean replies only on a postcard to .....)
