A new way to grow Vegetable Spahetti

I have made a few mistakes in my first two years as a veg grower. But this one is the best so far The Good Life - Well Maybe!: Mind yer ead!

ROFL I am so glad to find I am not the only person who can do such a good job of getting into bizarre gardening situations !

Hiya - Thats a Cleome Spinosa and the variety is Violet Queen. Its a beauty I think they are perennial and they grow with lots of thorns like a rose bush. I grew them from seed this year. Very pleased. Have a look here. Ben sells the most amazing flower seeds Higgledy Garden - Part 1

Thanks William. I seem to spend hours every day just pottering and picking things up!! but I love it and am really enjoying the vegetables.

You should try supporting the fruit with with some netting or some old (or new value) tights and tie them to the frame. That should allow them to keep growing without dropping off.

Hi Rainy,
I like your Spag Squashes, rather different from the ones I'm growing as the variety I have are yellow in colour and all died apart from one plant and that is rather dodgy too! So far I have two squashes the size of hand grenades, these are hanging next to each other and one is doing okay whilst the other seems to be struggling. I may cut the struggling one off so the healthier squash gets more goodness from the mother plant. Great blog thanks
