I find watering difficult to judge sometimes. In that intense heat I was sometimes watering 3 times a day in the greenhouses. The last few days only once a day and not a great deal either - but then it warmed up today. Keeps you on your toes!

All my greenhouse tomatoes get two pints of water a day - in the evening - no matter what the weather. Seems to suit them. They are in bottomless flower buckets inserted into grow-bags - three per bag.
