Hi there everyone
I am part of a group that is helping to establish a cafe and cook school based at a community centre in North London.
We are hoping to use some of the outside space to grow our own produce to:
-promote the advantages of growing your own food
-engage the local community and improve their health
-get lovely fresh, pesticide-free produce!!
BUT (isn't the always one?) we have no experience or time and not much capital to put towards this so my question to all you lovely people is....Do you know an organisation or person who can come in to consult and advise us on what to do/where and when - and perhaps even undertake some of the work? We will have some volunteers and workers to help with the work.
This venture is not for profit and our main goal is to provide the local community with a place to get healthy food for a reasonable amount of money - growing our own will surely help us achieve that goal.
