are these caulis or cabbages?

don't know how but I managed to "lose" a tray, anyway I found them, thankfully they were in an area that got rain and sun and they only have a bit of minor slug damage, they are either cauliflower 'snowball' or savoy cabbage 'ormskirk'

any idea which ones they are?

For no real reason I would guess Cauli's.
Cannot give a reason but if they were mine that's what I would go with.
And I would as likely be wrong.

Yes, they're either caulis or cabbages
My money's on caulis - don't ask me why, just a gut feeling. Of course, I could be wrong........
However, the one at the back has a purpley tinge to its leaf -so that could be a savoy

They're not Savoys, they have crinkly leaves.

Ah darn I knew it was impossible, I sowed 2 lots, one of the savoys and one of the caulis,

there for autumn/winter so i'm just going to resow and either have a few extra caulis/cabbages

also while Im here, my butternut squash are huge, trailing everywhere and have large green fruits swelling, any specific I need to do to help ripen or anything?

As they start to change colour, sit them on a piece of slate, bit of paving slab or house brick to lift them off the ground and so prevent possible rotting from being on damp ground. You can remove some of the leaves that may be shading them to let maximum light to them, but generally speaking, I find that winter squashes do their own thing without much help from me!

Ditto. Caulis I think. It's the pale, matt finish to the leaves.
