You will find that home-frozen cauliflower actually tastes like cauliflower whereas the stuff you buy in supermarkets tastes of nothing. I don't know how they manage to do it!
Thanks for the thread. I've never frozen mine au natural, cos I thought they would end up tasting like shop bought stuff! I make cauli soup and cauli-cheese etc but will definitely pop some in the freezer to try them. Cheers all.
I might try that with the last of the crops - I think I have enough piccallili to last the winter....for the whole street I have tried feezing before but it tended to go a bit brown (fine for curries !). Top tip for summer caulis is to split the florests down small enough to find all of the inevitable caterpillars you will find hiding in them!
