Oh No! White mould?

One of my pumpkins is bright white where it is not shaded by leaves - some kind of mould? Never seen this before.

Maybe the leaf prevented ventilation? Think that's what happens if things aren't breezy. Better than me, granny flo, all the babies on mine have keeled over and died.

Can't find the cable thingy to upload RL, but definitely looks like powdery white mould. Will get the SIL to take a pic if he comes tomorrow. Sorry to hear about your babies HH

There is some good news. I've just had another peek in the pumpkin patch and nestled well down amongst the foliage is the biggest pumpkin I've ever grown! Ssh, I think the fairies are looking after it.
