Just for you, one end of the Cave. There are 48 drawers in that metal cabinet, most of them labelled and I still don't know what some of them are for. AF&M sounds decidedly dubious to me

The drawers marked Hinges and Bolts came in useful this week - I found the fittings for a new gate in them

How is that one made? Is it a pallet upside down with the slats resting on the soil?
I thought about lining each opening between the slats with summat, to turn them into channels. I'm trying to avoid using more compost than I need to grow a carrot. Cheap skate.......me?

Mrs W - I always knew where my husband was - in the shed or in the garage!! He even put a phone extension in the shed so that we could speak to each other There are 2 garages full of "stuff" as well and the wood store!! I had to have a shed of my own

It looks like the bottom pallet has had some slats removed to block the ends, it is then filled & the other pallet placed on top, filled with compost then using the gaps in the top pallet as a guide to sow your seeds...............that's just my guesstimate.

I grow mine in old water storage tanks (we had our boiler replaced). They're great! and the tubs are reasonably small too. I think it's a 20 gallon tank? I also have two large ones still to come down, so will use them for 'nips!
