Does this tuber have blight?

I dug the maincrop potatoes today, and all were excellent apart from this one. Is this blight, it oozes liquid when pressed with a rotting smell.

If it was blight I'm pretty sure there would be others affected.

What was the foliage like?

I would guess at "soft rot" but am y no means expert at tuber problems,have a look here might help .....

Could it be your original seed potato, or would that have turned to mush by now ?

All the foliage looked pretty normal, no nasties were noticed, with some turning yellow and dying off, I certainly didnt notice any browning of stems or black patches on leaves. I left them in the sun for 6 hours and that was the only one like it, all others were perfect.

Thanks for the link bearded bloke, that's helped an awful lot and put my mind at ease, thought that the whole crop (60Kg) was at risk then, just need to be vigilant and check them over regularly.

I had something very similar this year in a tub of LadyC, just the odd few effected and they were near the bottom of the container.

I was able to put it down to a blocked drainage hole and these were the tubers that had sat in the water logged compost.

Any chance a slug had a go at it? It could have rotted from the hole it ate into the spud??
