Manure

I have had some manure delivered today, which needs rotting down a bit more, so will be making a heap, my question is should the heap be covered? or just leave it open to the elements.

Spread it over the plot and let the worms take it in.

That's what I am doing on the parts that don't have anything planted, but what about the rest that I am not using straight away, should I cover it?

covering it will prevent air borne seeds settling but otherwise no advantage

I leave mine open to the elements..no need to cover it..
