I have a cousin in America who sent me some seeds of this newly developed plant. it is called a Pomato and produces tomatoes and potatoes from the same plant. I did not believe him but as they say the camera doesn't lie. I have furtled around and their seem to be a lot of decent sized spuds there too.

Come on guys - don't tease Bill! They look great Bill, let us know what they taste like. Can you save the seed or do you have to get fresh every time?"A life lived in fear is a life half lived."
PS. I just don't have enough time to say hello to everyone as they join so please take this as a delighted to see you here!

It's a tomato and a potato grafted together isn't it?

I wont be able to show you a picture of the plant with the toms and spuds dangling down because the toms are going red already but the potatoes wont be ready for a month.

Yes i know but they dont allow tubers to be imported from America and it sounded a very American plant. I thought a few might wonder because potaoes and tomatoes are at least in the same family.
The truss is huge and it has split off the mother plant despite being supported so i am walking it round my garden following the sun every day, this was just one place i had it sunbathing. if we get a nice day tomorrow I may well take it on the beach for an hour or two.photo album of my garden in my profile http://www.growfruitandveg.co.uk/gra...my+garden.html
