  • Chillies Gone Crazy??

Okay basically first time i grown chillies in a while, I planted a fair amount of cayenne chilli seeds late into recommended sowing period quite a lot germinated and i have around 20+ cayenne chilli plants.

Now there around 3ft+ in height and I would describe them and tall/twiggy/lanky plants rather than small and bushy, they have chillies all over them some I would say some are longer than middle finger and as fat as my thumb.

Question is its now September and my chillies are going crazy, I've never seen this many flowers forming, opening and i have tons more new chillies starting. Is this normal to have all this flower/fruit activity so late in the year?

Should i be pinching out new growth like tomatoes or just let them go crazy ?

Let them carry on - they will ripen up between now and the end of the year.

Okay thanks ill keep feeding them as i think there going to need it considering the amount of flowers on the plants .

Some could do with re potting to be honest as they've outgrown there pots .

At the moment I'm trying to get this god damn mouse, thought tom plants has them tom caterpillars on them due to tomatoes being eaten but now come to conclusion its a mouse because its been pooping all over place whilst having a midnight feast on them.

Caterpillar poos can be quite big - specially the buggers that are eating my greenhouse Roma tomatoes.

hmmmm i know there is a mouse out there somewhere as it escaped me the other day, I've tried looking all over and cannot see any caterpillars so there either stealthed tomatoes assassins or its the mouse.

Quite surprised tho as the mouse didn't eat any of the courgettes hmmm...
