What wrong with my french climbing beans "Cobra"

The grew OK but seem to have small brown spots and some are deformed.
I have a picture but not to hand.
Perhaps tomorrow.

Being a scrooge I still cooked some and they were OK.
But the wife is very picky.

Any ideas ?

There's nothing wrong with them Jimmy. If your wife is used to supermarket veg she'll be expecting homegrown to be straight and exactly the same length, etc, etc.

You need to remember that an awful lot of stuff is rejected by the supermarkets because it doesn't look pretty. It's still perfectly good to eat though.

Keep the beans - get rid of the wife
I like veg with a bit of character - nothing wrong with a bit of bean deviation. Just chop them up before the wife notices

Still I like your first idea.
Often when digging the plot I look down and think "what a waste of a good hole !"

some of my french climbers get a bit rust brown on,i put it down to the wind chill,you ususally find them on the out side of the rows,if to bad compost,otherwise chop it out,
