I went in to the veg patch a couple of days ago to pick herbs for a friend, and it seemed as though it was having a bit of a burst of activity after a little lull recently. Has anyone else had the same thing?
One of DD's marrow plants has produced a new lovely young fruit which is doing very nicely, and the others all have lovely open flowers. The courgette plants are brewing several lovely courgettes, the runner beans have gone mad again overnight, the purslane is starting to run away with itself, the mustard greens are doing brilliantly and the lettuces have begun to put on a real spurt (but not bolting). The carrots seem to be ready (though I'm always really cautious about picking them as have pulled up so many tiddlers over the years) and the toms, though many are still green (I bring a few at a time into the house to ripen), are still looking very healthy and doing their stuff.
Has anyone else's plot suddenly burst into life again?
