  • Sowing in modules

Sometimes I sow seeds in those modules that are a dozen or more cells all joined together, that come with their own watering tray. The modules are a very snug fit in the base tray, which means I can only water from the top, sprinkling over the seedlings.

I prefer to water from below, so I leave one cell empty, and I can then use that cell to pour water into the watering tray. It also allows me to see how much water there is in the tray without lifting up the modules.
