  • jalapenos always green?

Someone on the plot was showing me their chillies yesterday. They looked like jalapenos so I asked and he showed me the label. Yes it says jalapenos but the pic has red and green ones on.
    Do they go red eventually?
These are showing no signs of it - although sunshine has been a very rare thing of recent weeks.

We had a small jalapeño bush and it produced both green and red fruit.

Yes, they do go red eventually, but you can use them green.

I pickle mine green, but would love to make chipotles by smoking them, but they need to be red first.

I tend to use them green but they do go red quite easily if you leave them long enough.

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?
