  • Grow for show

i was wondering if ive missed a section for growing veg for showing. If so, please move the post at your leisure mods.

Anyways, i went to the local allotment show on sunday and it got me thinking. Wouldn't mind a growing a few bits for showing next year.

Trouble is, not too sure where to start or what to do. Was looking at some of the traditional stuff such as leeks, parsnips, onions and carrots but after seeing some of the exhibitors, i could probably enter a lot more bits.

    Anyone partake ?

Edit, sorry mods, just seen the show sectiion....doh !!!!

I would say just grow what you like the taste of, then put in the best of what you have, i only put a few bits in this year, thinking that the others weren't good enough, only to find that the stuff I had left behind would have won their sections, if it looks good to you just put it in, whats to lose?
