Its pouring here and cold, wet and grey, even the dogs wont go out. Glad I spent the whole day yesterday on the plot and got loads done. So I am going to put the oven on and do a roast dinner with lots of veggies from the garden. Make a wholemeal loaf and some seed rolls plus blackberry and apple crumble, teacake, and some piccalilli.
Hi Stella just back from lotto frozen and wet and come out for dinner and a large glass of red hope you got everything done. I love fresh bead
Have a great first day on your new allotment vegboi - don't forget to take your camera and a flask of hot drinks.
Weather quite sunny here in N Ireland, looks like we're escaping the rains. Will go up to the allotment for a few hours this afternoon to harvest potatoes, parsnips, PSB, sprouts and leeks. Need to pick my one and only butternut squash, before the frost appears. Will also be planting garlic today, and preparing a bed for sowing the overwintering broad beans later this month. Also need to transplant wallflowers from their nursery bed.
Other than that, a bit of a tidy up, a chat to any neighbours, and home in time for Strictly. A perfect Sunday!
I've had a really productive day really pleased. Took flask and made chocolate brownies first thing to enjoy with coffee. Used a neighbours shed who helped me along with a friend. Really pleased. Just posted some pics
