  • Problem with sprouts

Can anyone help identify what is wrong with these. When you move the leaves there are lots if tiny white insects that fly off them.

If they are in the sprouts it's too late I'm afraid. If they are just in the tops , which is where they usually start, take the tops out and spray the plants with insecticide of choice.

Just squish them when first noticed and take off the worst affected leaves is what I do!

The whitefly tend to be worse if you keep your brassicas under nets (as you do, because of butterflies & pigeons). The whitefly like the warm protected conditions and they will survive frosts too

Thanks TS, I've got whitefly on my sprouts and broccoli so will try that. Better I think to take some action than just rely on the RHS opinion, "On cabbage, brussels sprout, cauliflower and broccoli, the edible parts are little affected. ".
