I bought some shallot sets for autumn planting but for various reasons have not yet planted them. I could (a) keep them until the spring and plant them then (b) plant them in modules in the greenhouse .... and then transplant them to the plot in Spring (do shallots mind being transplanted?) or (c) risk planting them at the plot even though it is a bit cool now. If I am going to do the latter it will probably be tomorrow. Any advice welcomed.

Divide you shallots into three and try all your methods, the results would be interesting. Failing that I would plant them out now, the worst would be you having to buy some more in the spring, the best would be you becoming and international shallot barron.photo album of my garden in my profile http://www.growfruitandveg.co.uk/gra...my+garden.html
