A cynical person might think it's a way of encouraging a bit of splurge spending to boost the economy.

      Which forecasters vegboi?

if I may quote the BBC:
"The weather beyond about a week ahead stretches even the most experienced weather forecaster. Complex numerical weather forecast models from the Met Office and the European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts (ECMWF) are run many times for the month (and season) ahead to build up a picture of the likelihood of different weather types affecting the UK"

I think it's just people panic predicting 'cos the sun is flipping it's magnetic field right now. But that happens about every 11 years, so nothing to bother anyone (except the occasional spaceman maybe)

Weather forecasts and horoscopes have the same effect on me. I read them and instantly forget them, preferring to look out of the window to check for clouds or UFOs

I remember the winter of 62/63 aka Big Freeze of 1963.

That's the year my parents took me to Blackpool and the sea was so frozen I was able to walk on it!!!

( oh-and yeh...it WAS winter..and not our summer holidays peeps!)

Another good take on forecasting the weather is that "tomorrow's weather will be largely similar to today's"
