hi sewer rat, i grew them from seed and they are Marketmore, which i believe are outdoor, does this mean they are male and i need to worry. HELP!!!!!!
Have you planted them out yet? I planted out 4 last week and lost one in the really hot weather, but the other 3 are doing fine.
Here are a few tips:
- Put outside when 8” high.
- Pinch out the growing tip when the plants have developed 6 or 7 leaves. Side shoots will then develop.
- Any shoots not bearing flowers should be pinched out at the 7th leaf
- Once the fruits have started to swell, feed with liquid tomato fertilizer.
Yes i have recently put them out in pots, bit worried bout the weather though, they forcast heavy rain and high winds tomorrow!!!!!!! i think ill bring them in. thank you for the info queen of the cobs, reckon i might know what i'm doing now MICH
