late potatoes

I grew potatoes in bags last year - as usual - and (also as usual) failed to empty all the bags

I now have some potato haulms coming above soil! about 3" high
Don't know the variety - could be ratte, kestrel, or pink fir apple...

I know a frost will kill them - is there any point moving one or two of them (the bags, that is) to the greenhouse with fleece? or should I just say "shame" and head for the compost bin?

I would tip them out and harvest the good ones. I cant see how you could grow them for another year as the potatoes that are there now will all rot and the compost will have lost any value it once had. Those that have sprouted could be replanted i suppose but in the greenhouse for now.

Same here, they haven't been knocked back yet, it's been so mild.
The tubers will keep on growing if you leave them and they aren't killed by frost. I've not had them rot, but then my soil is loose sandy free-draining stuff: it doesn't get waterlogged
