Yes, you've got off really lightly considering the storms we've had.sigpic“Gorillas are very intelligent, but they don't have to be as delicate as chimps -- they can just smash open the termite nest,”

I can only imagine how they felt...........I was lucky, the Brassica Kite was slightly leaning but nothing a bit of extra bracing didn't cure.sigpic“Gorillas are very intelligent, but they don't have to be as delicate as chimps -- they can just smash open the termite nest,”

I know exactly how it feels to have a whole garage land on your garden, because that happened to me back in January 2004. I watched the wind lift the roof, bounce it several times on top of the walls then slide it gracefully into the garden taking the walls with it. I'd recently dug a pond and planted several small shrubs and other things round it, including a beautiful Japanese maple which was sliced off, reducing it to a 4 inch high stick. Incredibly it recovered. Plants never cease to amaze me. I still find pieces of smashed bricks in the garden 10 years later.A life is like a garden. Perfect moments can be had, but not preserved, except in memory. LLAP. - Leonard Nimoy

Just been outside for a ciggy, then come back in and looked at my January pic on here .... not the progress I'd hoped to see. Hopefully I'll get some shuffling about done before I take my "official" February pic this weekend. It's good for giving you a kick up the bum this calendar thingy ...

It takes a couple of months to notice any changes unless serious ground work is being done.sigpic“Gorillas are very intelligent, but they don't have to be as delicate as chimps -- they can just smash open the termite nest,”

Too right! I'm at that horrible "lots of stuff done but nothing to show for it" stage.
Potting stuff on (pots change, but the tops are the same), hacking down a neighbours tree that wasn't really in camera shot, emptying several pots of old roots and putting fresh compost and bulbs/tubers in (no visible change), testing lighting and solar chargers. Apart from that things have moved about a bit - mostly all to one side. It kind of just looks like I've been playing chess with everything, and lost
At least next month I should have my ramsons and a few tulips and daffs
