    But BM! Another month closer to "Spring" and if we do get a flutter of white stuff! It ain't gunna stay around long! (I is hopeing!)

          That's the whole idea Martin, beds will be pretty bare for the next few months but come summer you won't recognise todays pic........

            There's still some stuff in the ground from last year: baby turnips, some carrots and a few red cabbages. My hand hasn't been forced into lifting them because we just don't seem to have had any kind of winter here yet.

            Why do I get the feeling I'm going to regret that last sentence...

                  February photos, taken around mid day. I did try to upload the January ones for comparison, but I am only allowed 5 per post unfortunately.

                  Facing north - sun is now just touching the soil.:

                          Well! Did work! Did a few "Running Repairs" n pottered for a few!

                          Forgive me if you are supposed to take the shot of the same spot, from the same angle? But didn't have Ipad with me! n forgot where I took the originals from!

                            Photos taken today, new 'shaped ' raised bed, 2 more still to be constructed, and fruit cage (still standing). my clever husband.

                                Hi Mothhawk, yes the trees give some shelter tho also at this time of year cut out a lot of light! At some point the owners will harvest them, by then the hedge we have planted at the rear should give us some shelter.
