  • I have been pottering in the tiny front garden too this week and found monster grubs (chafer I think). Maybe next year I'll start myself a wee potager garden...

When weeding, the best way to make sure you are removing a weed and not a valuable plant is to pull on it.
If it comes out of the ground easily, it is a valuable plant.

    • Went to view an allotment plot today so going to add that in as well as my garden

Here it is (with mother in law in the way) today and should get my keys in the next couple of weeks so hopefully next month will be a huge difference

      • Kitty!

Not only did you manage to grow a nice tyre last month! Obviously now "Harvested"

But you are the "Dog's B********!" at growing upside down "Teashirts"

              • I just compared my photos from April with those from today, and WOW. I can't believe how much everything has grown! I've gone from a fairly neatly organised garden to full blown chaos!

                April greenhouse:
                May greenhouse:

Now, the hedge is in desperate need of cutting and is now so big I can't take photos from my usual spot. So just this month I'll post pictures of one of my raised beds. The difference is amazing! The broad beans have gone a bit mad and need staking (the bamboo cane is holding them up at the moment) but the bees love them.

                April:
                May:

Oh, and I seem to have grown a cat as well!

Do you have any tortoiseshell seeds, catgirl?

                  • The conker tree in my the garden this morning. It lost a limb in the winds earlier in the year but it still looks lovely when it's in flower.

The bluebells are dying back but the apple tree has started to blossom. Most of the trees, further down the garden are in leaf and everything looks very green
