Flowers forming on Broad Beans sown in November - Is this usual??

I usually sow my broad beans in pots in February and plant our in early spring. This year I sowed beans in early November and have just checked on them and it looks like flowers are in the early stages of forming on a few. Are they likely to flower too early or is this usual?

My broad beans sown at the same time are rubbish stumps no chance of flowers for ages. It could be the warm weather we've had since autumn. Someone more experienced will surely have an answer

It's because of this mild winter. It's not desirable for them to flower in winter, they'll only get killed by frost.

You'll find your beans blackened one day, if so cut them down to the first set of leaves (thereabouts). The roots will still be alive, and will throw out new green leaves in spring

That's what I thought, warm and wet!
Thank you. I'll cut them down if/when they blacken. I'm hoping that a cold snap might halt them in their tracks, but it'll have to hurry up!
