  • What Garlic??

    I was given this garlic today for planting but I have no idea what type it is, all the pack says is bulb size 1 with this picture on. Any ideas??

        I think it is the type that you split into cloves and plant out either in autumn (or now) and you will get a nice crop of garlic in June/July.

        Make sure you save the biggest an best bulbs from your crop to plant next year - ad infinitum - and it will soon be you doing the garlic bulb giving.

          Yep, Hazel is right, just stick it in and if it's any good, save some bulbs for next year. I often plant supermarket garlic so I never know what sort it is

            split them up and put them in, the top of the bulb 1-2ins below surface and stand back, whats to lose?, they cost you nothing and they are usually the ones that turn out best.. good luck with them...
