Hi All, managed to finally finish the greenhouse and now just got the electrics to finish off, bring down rest of earth for the beds and inside the greenhouse and clear up a bit. Maybe next weekend I can start sowing some of the early seeds I will be planting in the raised beds, mainly broccoli, some beans, leeks and courgettes

Hi Everyone
Been busy getting everything prepared for when plants are ready to go outside, the greenhouse now has plenty of life in it
I have just finished making some raised beds using some gravel boards in the greenhouse. These have been filled with a couple of bulk bags of topsoil / compost mix from a local nursery.. One bed will have just tomatoes, the other a mix of peppers, aubergines, cucumbers and possibly more tomatoes
Quick question as I will be putting my tomato plants in there very soon, what could I add to the soil to make sure the plants get a good start? I have some blood, fish and Bone, would this be sufficient, along with some general tomato feed when plants are flowering?
Will get some more photos up when its planted up later this week
Cheers

Hi chopper, some potash is good as the tomatoes are quite keen on it. Personally I use the ash from the fire mixed with some fresh compost they really like it.
I have to say, I've got serious greenhouse envy though, I've been watching the bay for about 2 weeks keeping my eyes open for a decent 12 x 8, but your 16 x 10 is the bees knees. The autovents will come in handy too.I'm only here cos I got on the wrong bus.
