Cucumbers - Recommendations please...

There are only two of us so I grow small cumbers.

Not tried it myself, but on Gardeners Worlds (or maybe Beechgrove) last year they said to just cut off half a cucumber and leave the other half on the plant (it callused over) until it is needed.

Might be worth trying if you fancy a different variety for taste etc.
