Anyone else neglected their garden all winter?

    I did some winter pruning and gave the grass a mow early December, but haven't touched it since other than to collect the dogs presents!! The allotment has equally been left, while its boggy I don't like flattening the paths and churning up the soil.

    I must get the remainder of last seasons carrots out before they are only fit for the compost. In truth I grew far too many, I've probably still got in the region of 4-500 still in the ground. Never mind, maybe this year I'll grow less but more varieties.
    I'm only here cos I got on the wrong bus.

      boil them up and make wine, then chuck the remains in the compost bin
