I've tried that one once, but didn't have much success, I hope you have better luck than me.
Let's hope so, no what I meant was can they be used just like courgette or are they treated s bit different when cooking? We haven't eaten much squash in the past but I'm hoping to eat more to give us a bit more variety. Also have party pan squash growing so any tips of what to do with them would be good

Scarecrows do seem to be a dying art in gardens & allotments these days While in reality they probably do very little to scare crows, that is no reason to let a great tradition slip into obscurity, come on peeps lets get creative & fill that category this year

They have completions and trails of scarecrows round here every year. You see them all over although the one hanging by the neck out of a tree the other year did get complaints.

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

                  Are they edible ones?

I like to oven roast or griddle them, to store. They then get used as a topping on pizzas instead of peppers. They also get added to vegetable lasagne or soups.
I'm only here cos I got on the wrong bus.

I grow them for entertainment - they always make me smile
Actually, they're good to eat too as the seeds are in the bulbous bit, the rest is all "flesh"
